About Us

Kehilat Food Pantry is a Non-Profit Kosher Food Pantry serving the Queens Jewish and Immigrant community via daily food distributions.

Established in 1990, Kehilat serves the Queens Jewish and Immigrant community via its open market / client choice system, where all of the food offered is out in the open and clearly visible, allowing clients to choose whatever food they would like for themselves and their family.  

As a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic, what started as a small pantry soon saw a need to expand as the demand for service from clients increased exponentially, resulting in the expansion into the large community organization that it is today.

It Is Our Belief That Nobody Should Have To Choose Between Diet / Religion And Going Hungry.

We serve over 6,000 individuals weekly, over 21,000 monthly, and distribute over 25,000 food packages for the needy every month.*

We distribute via scheduled events as well as provide emergency response as needed

    • Take the Q25 to Union Tpke / Parsons Blvd

    • Cross the street

    • Proceed north on Parsons Blvd 1 block to 79th Ave (behind Deli)

    • Turn left on 79th Ave

    • 2 blocks down to 153rd St and turn right

    • The pantry is halfway down the block on the left side of the street

    Q44 - Northbound

    • Take the Q44 to Union Tpke / Main St

    • Proceed one block north

    • And turn right on 79th Ave (behind shopping center)

    • Proceed down to 153rd St and turn left

    • The pantry is halfway down the block on the left side of the street

    Q44 - Southbound

    • Take the Q44 to Union Tpke / Main St

    • Go back one block

    • Cross the street

    • Turn left on 79th Ave (behind shopping center)

    • Proceed to 153rd St and turn left

    • The pantry is halfway down the block on the left side of the street

    Q46 / Q48

    • Take the Q46 or Q48 to Union Tpke / Parsons Blvrd

    • follow directions for Q25 North for Eastbound, and Q25 South for Westbound
